Where to hang out with my kids?

I'm divorced. I have my 1 %26amp; 3 year olds once a week on a weekday where I spend time with them for about 3 hours. It's been 2 months now and I've been taking them to the mall, chucky cheese %26amp; restaurants rotating it on a weekly basis. I live too far away to take them back to my apartment.

Wondering if I can get some suggestions by the wonderful people here at Yahoo answers where I can hang out with my kids.Where to hang out with my kids?
My husband-to-be has a 4-year old daughter who we see once every two weeks. Sometimes all kids want is quality time (even if they can't say that). I would take the kids to the library and read to them (okay one is a little young) or just the park.

After a long time, trips to Chuck E. Cheese, the movies, etc. can get expensive and then children expect it. Make sure you know that you don't have to buy their love (we went through this!)Where to hang out with my kids?
zoo mall movies drag races lol... a nice park
It's almost summer take them to the zoo!Where to hang out with my kids?
it's getting warm the park or to the lake to feed the ducks most little ones love that....
I guess, you can try some thing new such as go to the beach, doing some exercise on park. Hope it helps.Where to hang out with my kids?
Zoo. Kids love animals.

Some libraries have story hour during weekdays.

Gymboree

Find one of those groups where they teach toddlers about music.

Swim lessons-some Ys and other places have swim lessons for babies and toddlers. I took my kids for lessons at 8 months.
i agree with a zoo or even chucky cheese if you have one
The local YMCA is always an option, they can play in the pool. Parks are wonderful in the summer. Libraries are great for you to sit and read to your children on rainy days.
theme park, they'll love it
Parks. Even though the one year old may be too small to play on the sets, you can put out a blanket and have a picnic or something. They are small enough that they really can't appreciate the mall as anywhere but a place that you spoil them rotten, which is not always a good thing. I personally do not like Chucky Cheeses, as it is a 'kid casino', and it is always loud, dirty, chaotic, and you really can't communicate with anyone.

Bring a game ready to play with the 3 year old, or maybe something to color. Bring fun snacks, and spend the time playing with them. You will get much better quality time with them that way. As the weather gets better, as spring moves in, this is just about the best, most fun thing you could do with them.

It kind of depends on what the kids like, but you may also want to try a zoo, if there is one close, and libraries are wonderful places.

The park would get them fresh air, excercise, and you would get much closer to each other if the kids remember you in motion. I still remember my dad pushing me on the swing, though my legs are too long for almost any swing around here now. I remember the times that we were outside and laughing and running around and learning things the most clearly of all.
I agree with the idea to take them to the zoo or to the beach, Disney on Ice, Park, Swimming but most important is that you spending time with them.
chuckie-cheeses is good- also-mabey the zoo, a great place would be an aquatic show or something interactive.
A Park, Zoo, Aquarium, Childrens' Theatre
I don't know that area, so it's hard to suggest places. As mentioned before, the places you are going can get expensive. If that's not an issue, great! Our McDonalds, Burger Kings, etc. All have playlands in them, but I think the park is about the best suggestion yet. It's somewhere where YOU can spend time with THEM. Many other places are designed for the parents to watch while the kids play. My second favorite is feeding ducks at a pond, if there is one nearby. My little guy has loved that since he was about that age. Third favorite is the library.

Most of all, I applaud you for taking the time to spend with them. It would be easy for many parents to convince themselves that three hours a week isn't much time, so the kids won't notice if you skipped a week. The kids will know, now and in the future, that you took the time to be with them, no matter what you were doing together.
take them to a park with swings. your three year old may enjoy pushing the 1 year olds swing. or maybe the zoo or an amusement park. also if there is a lake around where the kids live, they can swim now that it is summer and play in the sand. also almost every lake has a park right next to the beach. outdoor activities are always fun and very educational. they will enjoy it and so will you.
Any libraries near by or a bookstore... sit down and read them stories. Afterwards, go to toy store,do a mini camp - have tent, and other needed supplies with you and play ring toss - finger paint etc. You can even get one of those portable dvd players and watch a kiddie movies. Get a toddler pool and a kiddie fishing equipment and teach them how to fish... it all requires preplanning since you have them only a few hours.
