and need sugguestions on community centers, restaurants or family entertainment spots (i.e Chucky Cheese, MaddFun, ect)or someone that rents space for events that would allow me to host a party for 4 hours and bring my own outside entertainment(i.e face painter)?I am looking for a space to host my son's 1st Bithday party. Have to agree with the others; don't do this.

It will be an exhausting, possibly traumatic experience for the poor little guy.

Make a cake, and a small cake for him, make a big deal of him, and take the traditional "icing all over his face" picture with which to humiliate him for the rest of his life.

But don't throw a big deal thing.

He doesn't know what it's about, and it's not a nice thing to do for him.I am looking for a space to host my son's 1st Bithday party. I live in Brooklyn, NY .......?
I don't suggest going all out for a 1st birthday party. He most likely wont last 4 hours with all that activity plus he's too young to realize what's going on anyway.

Invite close family and friends to your home for lunch and cake. Put up some balloons and take pictures.I am looking for a space to host my son's 1st Bithday party. I live in Brooklyn, NY .......?
First, a 4 hour party for a 1 year old is way to long. And I think your living room or back yard would be better. Or the playground on the corner. Parties like what you speak of are meant for older children. A one year old doesn't have the attention span and might even get scared and upset by all those people. Keep it small and personal. Just a few close relatives or friends. The child won't remember it anyways. Remember, its a childs party, not an adult party.
